    • 347 RQG supports NASA operations

      The 347th Rescue Group, Moody Air Force Base, supported NASA and the first Crewed Flight Test of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner that launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, June 5, 2024. Team Moody's role was to provide contingency rescue coverage during all phases of the spaceflight, focusing mostly on long-range maritime search and rescue.

      In the U.S. Central Command, all operations circulate around the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Whether it be contingency response crews at forward-deployed locations relaying information or Air Traffic Control tower personnel clearing the skies - every mission depends on the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron.

    • Exercise READY DRAGON tests Beale’s readiness to deploy, operate

      The 9th Reconnaissance Wing (RW) executed Exercise READY DRAGON on June 3-6 to test the wing's ability to rapidly deploy down range. Approximately 184 Airmen from the 9th RW, the 940th Air Refueling Wing and supporting units participated in the exercise, exploring ACE applications as the wing prepares for their upcoming deployment cycle.

      A U.S. Air Force Mobile Training Team (MTT) participated in a training mission with the Chilean Air Force at Los Condores Air Force Base, Iquique, Chile, April 28 to May 25, 2024. The mission intended to strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Chile, as well as hone skills in aircraft crash, damage, and recovery tactics and procedures, to create a more capable force to combat future conflicts.
